This was St Peters Council Concert Band. You can see from the photograph that it covered quite a wide range of instrumentation with a rhythm section and separate sections for clarinets, saxophones, trumpets and trombones. It rehearsed weekly and reached a reasonable standard but with all such large aggregations it always needed more individual and section practise but seeing that individuals could not take their separate parts home to practise, least the music library get hopelessly fragmented, this could never happen.
