Liverpool Gateway – NSW

In 1995 I researched and prepared the Liverpool Gateway Housing Concept Masterplan Development Guidelines Report. The objectives of the study were to:

Develop a “gateway” to Liverpool in the form of an exemplary housing project that: emphasised the location, ensured an entry statement and increased community awareness of the attraction, provided an appropriateness of tenure mix and housing types, and as well, ensured an increase in the overall number of public housing units.

As well, the development was to demonstrate the benefits of private sector working in partnership with the public sector to create a model development and to produce guidelines that ensured a unified end result over time given the differing ownership and developers.

This was an outstanding collaboration between the NSW Department of Housing and Liverpool City Council.
