This was a tricky job (1986) as the station had to be kept fully operational whilst all the building works were going on around. The design required station buildings, roadworks, car parking and bus set downs, all in a very confined space. As a further constraint there was a very large heritage gum tree in the middle of all this that had to be protected and preserved.
